Sustainability Strategy & Resource Efficiency
As companies, institutions, non-profits and government agencies see
the value of implementing sustainable measures and practices including
resource and energy conservation, they have a need for creating a set
of guiding principles and a strategic plan that educates their staff
and customers. Andrés Edwards and a network of colleagues work closely
with the organization’s
leadership team to create a customized strategic vision and resource
efficiency plan to communicate and implement their organization’s
goals and objectives.

Andrés Edwards is working in partnership with GRES (Global Resource Efficiency
Services) to develop and implement a sustainable energy master plans for
the Peralta Colleges which include: Berkeley City College, College of Alameda,
Laney College and Merritt College and St. Mary’s College in Moraga,
California. The programs include environmental assessments, trainings, implementation
and monitoring of resources and energy efficiency. (2007- 2008)

Andrés Edwards collaborated with a task force of the leadership of the
U.S. Green Building Council to create the organization’s Guiding Principles.
The work involved conducting a survey of existing principles and developing
a framework that is in alignment with the organization’s vision, goals
and objectives. (2006)

Andrés Edwards worked with The Natural Step staff to design and edit
the TNS materials published through the its web site. The content describes
the international organization’s Framework and its vision for a socially
and ecologically sustainable society. (1999-2000).

Management Consultant
Andrés Edwards designed and directed an Environmental Assessment program
for a graphic design firm. This project entailed interviewing employees
and creating a comprehensive review of the building and the firm’s
operation procedures. A final report outlined a recommended action plan.
